Our Mission
SPIRITUAL IS POLITICAL is an art curation and exhibition space of existence. We blend the curation of space, art making, education, and design as a method for our practice. We exist to showcase soul provoking art that explores histories, realities, and narratives that often go unnoticed and erased. Through research and discussions amongst our community, we reflect a spiritual drive toward a more just world, which is a political stance that must be bold. Must be rooted.
The Spiritual is not about Religion. It is not about what faith you show up in and how that manifests itself in the world. The spiritual is about your values and intentions. This is political.
We build off of black feminist leaders, indigenous knowledge keepers, and queer technologies. We know that art must be at the center of changing consciousness which is why we are creating and sharing media in intentional ways.

art curation & exhibition company
We have a revolving collection of acclaimed artists collaborating to produce art that reflects everyday realities. We curate spaces for artists to connect, engage, and reflect. It is our mission to create conversational pieces and spaces that last beyond a singular moment.
We collaborate with art & education designers to provide exclusive material, rooted in the desire to show up as our best selves as we create a new world. In this world we prioritize Black/ Indigenous/ Queer/ Trans bodies, histories, and storytelling in the designers we work with and the concepts we produce.
Our showcases are interactive experiences that invite the audience into various styles of intaking pertinent specific content. Bringing together artists from around the world, we use the categories of music, visual art, space, and medicine making to tell a collective story.
How do we sustain the livelihoods and curation of Black/ Indigenous/ Queer/ Trans artist? Through our various mutual aid efforts and community fundraising we are able to support artists and their communities. We understand that the history of art funding is rooted in oppressive systems of control. We don't just diversify existing art institutions but reimagine art making and art funding on our own terms. We understand art to be the center of reimagining new worlds.
